Get Involved in AV Week 2009

AV Week 2009, taking place October 18-24, promotes recognition of the AV industry. Each year, InfoComm International and its members sponsor workshops, presentations and other events around the globe to spotlight the audiovisual industry. This program enhances communications in many vertical markets and recognizes the AV professionals who manufacture, design and install AV technology in fixed installations and for staged events.

Attend our “How to Get Involved in AV Week 2009” webinar and learn what InfoComm members have done in previous AV Weeks and how to promote your company and your industry with the support of your trade association. InfoComm Seeks Lunch & Tour Venues

InfoComm is looking to showcase exciting applications of AV during its fall Lunch & Tour series aimed at architects. If you’ve recently completed a project that exemplifies AV best practices and you can get permission from your client to host a group of architects for a lunch hour presentation and tour, please let us know. Corporate headquarters, law firms and performing arts centers are appealing to architects. The venues should be easily accessible with nearby parking and public transportation. U.S. Green Building Council LEED Call for Ideas

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) invites the public to participate in a LEED Call for Ideas. This call is meant to provide a way for new ideas to be brought forward to help improve the LEED rating system. USGBC is looking for input on improving existing technical criteria, proposals for new credits and feedback on LEED's overall effectiveness and rigor. Comments regarding LEED's delivery model, certification process, pricing, etc., will not be considered, since USGBC is looking for feedback specific to the technical requirements of the LEED rating system.
